Jin Quanai, Soprano
A Chinese of Korean ethnicity, Ms, Jin is an associate professor of vocal music at Wuhan Conservatory of Music in People's Republic of China where she is an advisor of Master Degree students. Under the direction of Professor Yu Huicheng, Ms. Jin focused on the performance and theory of ethnic Chinese vocal music during her graduated studies. Ms. Jin has been active on stage by giving many performances in opera, music drama and concert. She has given concerts and participated in academic exchange in Taiwan, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Iceland, Netherland, as well as in conservatories and music institutes in China. She performed in Thailand, New Zealand and French Polynesia as a member of the ensembles selected by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and Hubei Provincial Government. She was a panel member of the Fourth and Fifth National Peacock Award Vocal Music Contest for students from Chinese conservatories in July 2014 and July 2016 respectively.
Ms. Jin performed at the prestigious Chinese New Year Gala at China Central Television (CCTV) in 2009. In 2011, Ms. Jin performed at the Spring Festival Celebration organized by Chinese Literature and Art Circles in the Great Hall of the People, a famed state building in Beijing.
Ms. Jin's awards include a third place winner as a member of Bizkca Club at the 13th CCTV National Youth Singers Grand Prix, an Accomplished Performance Award and Individual Contributor Award by Hubei Provincial government, and a Gold Award in the category of ethnic vocal music at Golden Chime Music Award of Hubei Province, as well as the First Place Award at “Chutian Wenhua Award” in the category of ethnic vocal music performance. Ms. Jin published her first Music Album “South Beauty in North Land” in March 2013, and she had her first solo concert “South Beauty in North Land” at Wuhan Qintai Opera House in October of 2013.
